CANNED PRODUCTS
The best traditional cans were a hit due to the unquestionable talent of chef Luis Baena in the recent edition of “Peixe em Lisboa” (Fish in Lisbon). Presenting two recipes in each can – a recipe for children in the kitchen (little chef) and another one for gourmet adults —Jose Gourmet’s mission is to show the best and most typical products made in Portugal as far as gastronomy is concerned. Similarly to olive oils, vinegars, wines, liqueurs, brandies or preserves, our canned food includes whitebait stickelbacks or trout fillets in a pickle sauce, mackerel or tuna fillets in olive oil, sardine roes in olive oil, octopus in olive oil and garlic or even calamari in ragout sauce. Sardines gracefully appear as spicy stickelbacks, sardines in tomato sauce, in olive oil and lemon or in a succulent biologic virgin olive oil.
